Oh Tegra, Where Are You?
We woke up yesterday to find that Tegra was missing. We searched and searched for her thinking that she was under the storage building, but she is nowhere to be found. The other dogs are here and we cannot figure out how she got out of the yard. It is just devastating. We've posted some signs, called animal control, and I think I might put a notice in the newspaper. She will turn 15 next month (April) and we are all just heart-broken. Tegra, please come home.
We love you, girl!

Let's Twist!
Well tonight Aidan went to the Sock Hop at the school. Troy and I stayed and watched from the bleachers. It was a lot of fun. The kids all dressed up in their 50's best with poodle skirts and pony tails and slicked back hair and rolled up jeans. I made Aidan a "zebra" skirt. This was my first attempt at sewing clothing (yikes)but it turned out pretty cute and she loved it.
Aidan's friend, Zachary (He asked her to the dance, but she had already said yes to Caelan. :( The drama starts too early!
Aidan and Ellie
Aidan's "date", Caelan. I'm sorry, Aidan says, "He's not a date, he's a bud"
The teachers really went all out on 50's decorations, concessions including root beer floats, and having the kids dance the Stroll (you know, like the one from the American Bandstand scene in Grease).
They've been learning the Twist so they were all showing off their moves. The best part was that it was just for 3rd-5th grade and the kids aren't worried about looking silly...they were just there to have fun.

Stock Show 2009
A couple of weeks ago we went to the Fort Worth Stock Show with Aidan's Grannie and Papa (aka Linda and Bill). Aidan loved seeing all the farm animals, especially the horses, and riding a few rides. She went down the biggest slide I've ever seen and we thought she was going to puke when she got off the thing.
She also won a couple of stuffed animals
